Know
Own
Amplify

As women of color, we need affirming, ethical ways to harness power, to know, own and amplify it individually and collectively; this shift is tied to our liberation.

Know Your Power

(Powerless > Powerful)

To hold and claim power, we first have to recognize it within ourselves. To do so, we have to develop our capacity to discern our limiting beliefs from the truth; gaining the ability to articulate our unique contribution, unlocking a vision of what’s possible.

Own
Your Power

(Hidden > Visible)

Many previously used strategies to gain power seeking to limit our visibility, assimilating to dominant cultures and narratives. To own our power we have to step out and step up, ditching the narrative that we need permission to be seen.

Amplify Your Power

(Alone > Together)

The last thing we need is to bring each other down; it’s time to lift each other up, uniting to build the future we want for ourselves, and all those to come after us. To complete the shift from powerless to powerful, we have to build coalition, find sponsorship; we need to make it happen, together.
